> Over the last 25 Thanksgivings I have seen the landscape of my life change Frequently. Friends come and go. Some Church members love you and then resent you. Possessions that once seemed imperative soon become unnecessary. The seasons change. Feelings have fooled me. Perceptions have perplexed me. Challenges are constant. The victory in one battle is soon met by the promise of another. The pressures of life are perpetual. The economy dips and gas prices leap. My dollar isn't worth as much as it used to and neither are the words and convictions of man. What used to be social and cultural taboos are now celebrated on public stages.  My world isn't what it once was. This roller coaster of life has no stops.  There are no real guarantees anymore.....

Except....

God is still on the throne.

Jesus is still the answer.

He has never changed. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!

His mercies are new each morning! He has promised me abundant life. He sends goodness and mercy to follow me wherever I go.

He will never leave me or forsake me!

He has a plan for me! Not one of disaster, but one of a bright future and full of hope!

He has made me more than a conqueror. His favor surrounds me like a shield. His joy is my strength. When I am tired I can find rest in Him!

When I ask...He answers! When I seek...I find Him! When I knock... He opens up the door to me!

All His promises are YES and AMEN!

He is faithFULL even when I am faithLESS.

He sees the BEST in me even after I've shown Him the worst of me!

 His grace covers all my sins!

 He loves me in spite of me! He said that nothing can ever separate me from His love!

He died on the cross not only for me, but also as me, so that I could live forever in Heaven with Him!!

He rose again, defeating death, hell, and the grave and now sits at the right hand of the father making continual intercession for ME!

So...Today, Thanksgiving Day 2012, I am THANKFUL that in a world that is always changing... HE is ALWAYS the SAME!
